How do I become a member?

Anyone who participates in Summit Sports leagues or events is considered to be a member. Becoming a member is as easy as signing up for the league or event that interests you. If you're not ready  to get involved, just "Like" us on Facebook and Follow us on Instagram @playwithsummit to stay up to date on everything that's happening.

Is there a membership fee?

No. We have a pay-for-what-you-play model. The only cost to you to join is the registration fee for the league of your choice.

What sports do you play?

Summit Sports plays all year, and runs 6-10 leagues each season. Check out our sport lineup here.

How do I sign up?

All registrations are done through our website, and you can find our list of available leagues here. Use the icons at the top of the page to filter by sport. Please select whether to sign up as a team or individual, then log in/create an account and finish the registration process. If the registration deadline has passed and you sign to inquire if there are any sports available, please contact the office at info@playwithsummit.ca.

Can I sign up on my own or do I need to register a whole team?

Summit Sports welcomes registrations from individuals, small groups and full teams. If you register as an individual or a small group, we will roster you with other individual or small group registrants so that together you make a full team.

When you register, we ask for your preferred position and skill level. We take this into consideration when forming teams so they are balanced and competitive.

I want to play on the same team as my friend, can I do that?

Absolutely. After you complete your registration, you will be able to invite your friends to join you through the blue "Invite Friends to Play" button on your player page. Enter your friends' email addresses or send them the sign-up link to invite them to play. Registering through this invitation will automatically link your registrations so that you get rostered together.

Can I sign up more than one person at a time, using the same registration form?

Each member must sign up individually. Each member must have a unique profile, with a unique email address in our system. It is possible for one person to pay for multiple registrations at once. To do this, you must contact Summit Sports at info@playwithsummit.ca. It is easier to pay online for each individual's registraiton.

How do I sign the waiver? All players must sign a waiver before stepping on the field/court, including subs. Players who register online for the league will have signed a waiver during the online registration process. Subsitute players must sign a waiver and can do so online here. The Game Host will also have paper waivers available to sign courtside before playing.
How do I see the schedule of my games?

Once your registration is complete (paid) and the schedules are posted online, you will be able to log in and view your schedule for the season on your player page. The schedule includes teh date, game time, team matchups and game location, with a link to the map, driving directions and parking, as well as additional facility details. Schedules are only posted AFTER THE SEASON REGISTRATION DEADLINE to minimize the need for schedule changes and to also minimize the chance that members go to the wrong place/wrong time because they missed a schedule change. Schedules may change at any time due to facility closures, permit cancellations and team defaults, so we always recommend logging in on game day to confirm your game time and location. Summit Sports will only send email notifications about changes if there was a change on game day. All teams and players are responsible for weekly confirmations of their own schedule.

Does Summit have officials? Who are they?

Summit has paid officials for all games (except beach volleyball). They are sanctioned officials from the local officiating body - for Volleyball from the London Ontario Volleyball Association Officials, and for Basketball from the London Board of Basketball Officials.

Do we need to pay officials on site?

Summit pays for the officials directly and in advance. There is no need to bring cash to the gym.

What rules does the league play by?

You can see all of our sport rules on our website here.

If I can't make a game or my team needs a sub, what do I do?

Players and teams need to arrange for their own substitutes, who must sign the substitute waiver here. For playoff games, please check our sub rules for playoff eligibility here.

Volleyball players that can't find a substitute through their own network are encouraged to try the London Ontario Volleyball Players Hub.

I would like to work for Summit Sports. Is Summit Sports hiring?

As Summit Sports' membership grows, so does our team of Game Hosts. Please check the Summit Sports Job Postings to see what opportunities are currently available with the club.
